Every day I make promises – 

Often because I want something.

Sometimes I even keep them.

God has made a promise – 

And not because he needs something.

God has made a promise –

And his promise is always true.

He will love me

And care for me

And provide for me

And walk with me.

All day.

Every day.

Everywhere.

And that’s more than enough for me.

And bunnies

Easter has come.

Sadness

And Christ on the cross.

His life has been ended –

My future, his cost.

Singing

And laughter

When up comes the sun.

Jesus is living –

Easter has come!

And everything changed.

The crowds thought they knew

Who you should be.

The crowds thought you’d fight

They just couldn’t see.

That the way of God’s son

Was not what they thought.

When

When I’ve been wrong,

It’s hard to say sorry.

Mum says to say it,

Dad says to say it,

Teachers say to say it.

But I don’t want to say sorry.

When someone’s been wrong towards me,

I want them to say sorry.

But just like me, they seem to find it hard

And often don’t say it –

And it makes me feel sad.

When I’ve been wrong,

And I don’t say sorry to you.

I’m sorry.

Thank you that you gave yourself for me.

Thank you that you forgive me.

Looking

The world is such a big place.

Big,

Wide,

High,

Full.

There are so many people.

Big,

Small,

Short,

Tall.

I can feel so small.

Lonely,

Confused,

And uncertain.

Feeling that something’s missing –

But not sure what it might be.

For things to make sense,

Add up,

Feel good.

For you.

May I find you when I look.

What is Christmas all about –

A man in a gown,

Flying above my town?

What is Christmas all about –

Gifts in a box,

Seasonal socks?

What is Christmas all about –

Parties, games and crackers

Like nothing else matters?

No, Christmas is more –

So very much more.

There’s God come to earth,

A child just like me.

The love of our God

Sometimes I feel so lost

When everyone around me

Seem to know exactly what to do.

Sometimes I feel so alone

When all the people I know

Seem to have gone away.

Sometimes I feel so weak

And I need to be strong,

There’s so much I need to do.

I know that you are close;

Bigger than the world can be,

Showing me what to do,

Holding my hand.

And making me strong.

Peter was a good man

His heart was good as gold.

He left his fish,

At Jesus’ wish.

And always gave tenfold!

And if he could, he would!

It was never that long,
