All is not happy or well;

People are ill;

People no longer like each other as much as they once did;

People argue;

People lose their jobs;

People don’t have enough money;

People spend more than they have;

People don’t have enough food.

We pray for;

Comfort for those who are ill;

Understanding where people have fallen out;

Peace for those who disagree;

New starts for those who need work;

Financial stability for those in need;

Self-control for those who act without care;

Food for those who are hungry.

Help us to know how to offer

Support, comfort

And practical help for those in need.

We pray that they will look for,

And find,

You and the love that you have for them.

When I’m feeling lonely, I can rely on God.

He is with me, he keeps me safe and I can be confident in his love.  He will be my friend.

God is good and faithful and is always at my side.

I belong to God

God, you are my God and I want to see you in all that I do.  I want to follow you for all of my life.

Are words

I sometimes think or say.

But when I stop awhile

Or take the time to pray,

I know that's not the case at all.

It might be tough,

It might be hard

But it's really not unfair.

And want and need are not the same;

There are so many things I have.

So, thank you God for what I have

And all the things I do.

Help me to share, to give, to love,

And always say “thanks” to you.

Pounds,

And bank accounts.

Credit cards,

Sizeable amounts.

Money in,

So many things to buy.

Eating things,

Wearing things,

So many things to try.

Thank you, God for the wealth we have.

Help us to be sensible and caring as we spend and save.

Need and greed

In our world there are those in need.

Jesus, help us to care for them.

In our world there is so much greed.
